Activity ball
» baby footprints, shopping cart
I have bought another new toy! The activity ball from Tiny Love . Quite an enjoyable thing to play with. It will make a silly sound when you tap the ball, five different sound altogether (the sound is a bit too soft though). You can also pull out the head or the legs, and it will retract automatically with jerky vibrations.
But the baby doesn’t seem to be very impressed by all the tricks the ball performs. I tried to grab her hand and hit it, she couldn’t be bothered with the sound. I demonstrated how to pull the head and legs and guided her to do it, but she didn’t have the skill and strength to do it. Too bad!
Luckily I observed the sacred rule when choosing toys. 1. Brightly coloured. 2. Handles or pointy thingies attached. Look! The creature has two antennas on its head and a plastic ring on its hand. Perfect! She enjoys holding the antennas and chewing the ring. Phew, money not wasted after all.

For some strange reasons, i cant seem to see the pics you post sometimes. Tiny love is an excellent brand for baby toys. I got this wind chime thingy from them and Tim has been entertained by it since 1st month. His most recent toys are Elmo and Cookie Monster which are just a little shorter than him. Gee… parents! i think we buy toys to amuse ourselves more than what they do for babies :))

I definitely know what you mean, because that’s exactly what I do these days. I love shopping but these days it’s mostly getting stuff for my baby. Btw, where did you get your Tiny Love activity ball? I have checked out the website and the toy looks really cool.

I got the acitivity ball from mothercare at centrepoint. Baby Sayang carries it too. Totally agrees that we buy toys to amuse ourselves more than what they do for the babies, choosing toys that fancy us. Probably too deprived when I was a kid, its pay back time. Sometimes I even feel guilty if I don’t get something new for her to play, as if I am denying her happiness. But I wonder if she really needs or enjoys those toys she has. Getting irrational when baby is involved.

I found some tinylove products at Baby Palace… or is it Baby Kingdom? Its at Shun Li Industrial Complex at kaki bukit. I got the windchime for around $15. If you are facing the Complex, it is on the left hand side. These two shops carry plenty of baby stuff but personally i find that the shop on the left price their product more reasonably and you could haggar!
