No time

»

I really wonder if I have a serious problem with time management. Why is it that I can’t find time to do more things. I don’t have much housework to do, I don’t take nap, I don’t wake up late, I don’t sleep early, I don’t watch TV all the time, but why I just can’t find time to do those things I wanted to do so much. I would really like to bake once a week, leave the house and go jalan jalan once a week, swim at least once a week, ride my rusty bicycle again, catch some movies, read some entertaining books, memorise more poems and proses, take up knitting or crochet, try to make a doll, practice calligraphy more often, go sailing again…. The list never ends, but I couldn’t get any started.

I have come across mothers that are able to complete tons of housework, always sewing dresses or toys, bake all the time, cook all the time, read all the time, attend aerobics class, do yoga, learn social dancing, go for facial, spa….How I wish I could be like that! Well, it is either 1. they are super in time management, whereas I wasted too much time whining why I can’t find time. or 2. I spend too much time “looking” at the baby. I certainly hope it is the second reason, at least the time gone are worthwhile. Maybe I spend too much time blogging, surfing the net and reading bulletin board too.

Hee hee… sounds familiar! Babies are what i would call, luxury indulgence. We do not want to miss their every moment of their growth… thats why everything else would be at a stand still… *ahem* even our husbands :P lol

You bake too? I love baking… but no one appreciates my baking :/

The poor husbands. I hope they understand that they are still high up on the priority list though the baby is paid more attention to.

why no one appreciates your baking? you bake often? I love baking, but they usually ends up looking or tasting weird. well, I force everyone to eat it, haha.

I’m the worst, I think in terms of time management. :P I don’t do housework since I live with my in-laws and they have a maid. My main role is to take care of Ryan. But I don’t have time for anything else! I hardly have time to read parenting books or newspapers these days. This is particularly bad when my in-laws are holidaying overseas. Also, I’m still doing night shifts with Ryan (I still wake up 3 or 4 times at night) so sometimes I’m so sleepy that I’m often operating at “zombie” mode in the day. I’ll give anything to wake up only twice at night! I suppose I spend a lot of time “looking” at Ryan and playing with him. I don’t leave him unattended so basically I’m there all day with him. But there are times I run out of ideas of entertaining him really. I would love to have time to tidy up my room more, to think up of new games to play with him, to read and to go out and “jalan jalan” by myself. I can’t cook, before Ryan was born, I was enthusiastic about trying new recipes for a brief period of time but that was it.

Alamak dory, looks like you are having a very bad case of exhuastion. despite the tiredness, I suppose you still find it worthwhile to be able to spend so much time with your darling son :) . but do do try to squeeze some time to pamper yourself, don’t burn yourself out.
