What If She Poo On the Way?

»

We will be leaving tomorrow morning at 6.30am. We are not taking the night train like we did the last time, I am going to miss the comfy sleeper and endure the supposed “gold class” seat which I am not going to pin too much hope on.

We will be taking a coach straight up to Genting. My concern now is what to do if the baby poo during the bus ride. The stinko smell is going to suffocate everyone on the bus. I have done some scenario planning. I will ripped off her diaper at the fastest speed possible, with James holding on the her and immobilising her, then quickly gives her bums a few wet wipes, dump the soiled diaper into a Ziploc bag and seal in the smell. Seems to be a workable plan. Actually, I am hoping she doesn’t poo at all. I am also thinking about her meal. I wonder if I am able to fix her cereal on the bus and feed it to her successfully without creating a mess. It was so much easier during the last trip when she could just survive drinking milk.

Well, anyway, we will see how it goes. I am looking forward to some authentic Ramly burger on way. Wonder if it is available during day time.

Hmmm… try to EC her first before you leave home tomorrow morning. Its a 5 hour journey or so? Tim pooed several times on those 8 hour flight. The smell isn’t that bad, don’t worry too much about it. Its the whimpering and screaming that might annoy passengers :P

I didn’t give Tim any solids during the trip and he survives very well on just BM alone… even right now when we do not have time to feed him solids, BM suffice.

Enjoy your trip! I hope you bought travel insurance.

Took your advice and nurse her all the way, very convenient! Tried to EC her, but failed. Anyway, she didn’t poo, save me from all the embarassement I forsee. Thanks.

hi, i came across your blog while surfing the net. hey, i also just got home from a trip to Trengganu. Phew! i really couldn’t stand the long hourssss journey. I nearly panicked when my 11-month son started wriggling & got cranky during the early journey. i had travelled on the night coach hoping my son would sleep through but lately he has become an owl. Looking wide-wake even though it was late after midnight. Yeah, I was also worried about the poo-thing. I prayed hard that he won’t. But usually he doesnt do the business late at night. So I was just preparing for the unexpected. Ok, just wanna share!!

    cheers!

Changing a soiled diaper on the train was the ultimate nightmare I had a few months back. I didn’t do it in the carriage because of the smell, so it we did it at the connectors between two carriages. We changed her standing. It was very bumpy and the door suddenly swung open, luckily we didn’t fell off the train. Next time, rather stink bombed everyone else then to risk our lives like that.
