Hidden Loot
» motherhood
It was so engrossed with my gaming that I didn’t spring to any action when the kid happily showed me her triumphant loot of credit cards from Jame’s wallet. I only exclaimed loudly something like “Oh, naughty girl, playing with papa’s cards. Put them back into the wallet.” And I really expected her to return the cards to the wallet.
Later in the evening, we realised the cards were missing when we needed to withdraw money. Tried asking Yauyau where she put them, she just stood there staring at us blankly. Argh, she can’t even talk yet. Gave her a few expired credit cards and we tried to observe her. She walked around trying to put them into some boxes. Oh, that’s clue number one. secret boxes. But no cards in sight.
The father needed the card urgently for his air tickets. Man can be so unhelpful. They kept reminding you that it is very important to find the card, then walked around the house, trying to search with their eyes. For goodness sake, how to find a well hidden object without using the hands to ransack the whole house.
By the way, I just happened to recover our lost items. They were found under the fax machine. Wonders how she managed to get them underneath.

Hilarious! Smart girl you got there - knows what’s really impt! Sara likes pulling cards out of my wallet too, but I freaked out the last time she did it and now keep my wallet way above her head at all times.

Yau yau is smart…so smart!
Better keep all important stuff carefully…who knows she might just dump it in a secret ‘hiding place’ of hers and you can’t find it?!

Yah man, kids nowadays, small small haven’t earn money yet but already trying to pull out notes and flash credit cards like us adults. They either hide the important thing, pressed the forbidden button, tear the biggest note or dirtied your favourite dress, always full of tricks.

Looking after toddlers really need tonnes of concentration! Mine also same problem. Ask him where he left the stuff he took, all he can answer is “ah?”

I agree with you the way you view the issue. I remember Jack London once said everything positive has a negative side; It is also interesting to see different viewpoints & learn useful things in the discussion.

Three phrases should be among the most common in our daily usage. They are: Thank you, I am grateful and I appreciate.
