Spaghetti Time

»

noodle.jpgWhen the child insisted that she wanted to feed herself spaghetti, the only thing parents could do is to strip her and cover the floor with as many pieces of news papers as they could. Then we will have fewer worries about messiness and be in a mood to be entertained by their spillage and funny feeding style.

Heh huileng, u r very flexible at circumstance huh! Well beside this i would like to share some personal view but hope u dont get offended,k.
Personal experience, i hv a photo taken half naked when i was 3. During that time my family was hse visting, we, my two bro age 4 & 6 and me were so excited to see a swimming pool and wanted to have some splashy time but we didnt bring our swimming gear. My father suggested we can take out our top, wearing the undies only. We had a great time and my father took the photo.
After many years and we have grown up, whenever i see the photo, i feel so shameful and remorse.
And now, a mother of two daughters, i am very cautious not to take photo of my girls naked. Especially i feel that nowadays children turn puberty so much earlier as compared to our generation.
Same to some parents who actually allow their children to pee in open public, be it any gender, i just find it uncouth.
I am not being conservative but i feel these act just inappropriate.

But you were just a kid! There is probably nothing to see in that photo right? Why would you feel shameful and remorseful?

you know… i agree completely with anon no.1. Im sure (almost) all of us have taken pics naked when we were young… and there’s nothing shameful about that. What IS there to be ashamed off anyways?? the pure fun? the jaw-droppingly developed body of the child?

you can look at this situation from two angles. Either you shrink back and hide red-faced(which i dont see the point at all in doing so) OR you reminisce the good times and simply laugh it off! Yes just laugh it off! Everyone went through the stage of being bare bodied. And having a picture just serves as a memorabilia.

ps: your daughter is really cute.

    take care.

The idea that the kid might be embarrassed when she grows up didn’t cross my mind when I did the posting. In fact, I went through all the different shots searching for one that is most amusing. I thought she would probably find it to be very funny too when she grows up.

But I would definitely not be taking any of these naked photos when she grows older, guess it wouldn’t be funny anymore to her :)
